Pasadena, CA (Sports Network) - Kai Forbath kicked a 42-yard field goal in the only overtime and the UCLA Bruins began the Rick Neuheisel era with a thrilling 27-24 win over the 18th-ranked Tennessee Volunteers. Kevin Craft completed 25-of-43 pass attempts for 259 yards with one touchdown and four interceptions, all in the first half, for the Bruins (1-0), who capped a disappointing 6-7 campaign in 2007 with a loss to BYU in the Las Vegas Bowl. Ryan Moya had seven receptions for 65 yards and one touchdown. Jonathan Crompton passed for 189 yards on a 19-of-41 clip, including one interception, for the Volunteers, who are coming off a 10-4 season that included a victory over Wisconsin in the Outback Bowl. Arian Foster rushed for 96 yards on 13 carries, while Montario Hardesty ran for 66 yards and two scores. Game Notes Game Notes
